Save to Dexi — bookmarklet

Any browser · app.dexi.net

The bookmarkletis one button on your bookmarks bar that saves the page you're on — title, link and any text you've selected — into your Dexi workspace. There's nothing to install: you just drag the button from the setup page onto your browser's toolbar, so it works in every desktop browser — Safari, Firefox, Edge, Chrome. Every saved page becomes a note: taggable, searchable (including by meaning), and part of your knowledge graph.

Get the bookmarklet

Installing it is a single drag: the setup page shows a + Save to Dexi button — drag it onto your browser's bookmarks bar (toolbar) and it's ready to use.

How it works

  1. Select text (optional) — whatever you highlight on the page is captured along with the title and link.
  2. Click the button — the save popup opens with the page pre-filled; add tags like #competitor-acme and save without leaving the tab.
  3. Clip again— saving the same page twice doesn't create a duplicate; each new clip is appended to the same note.

Getting started

  1. Sign in at app.dexi.net.
  2. Open Bookmarks → Setup in the app.
  3. Drag the + Save to Dexibutton onto your bookmarks bar. That's it — click it on any page to save.

You need to be signed in to Dexi in the same browser; if you aren't, the save popup asks you to sign in first. The same setup page also imports your existing Chrome bookmarks — titles and favicons intact — in one step.

Privacy

The bookmarklet runs only when you click it. It reads the current page's address, title and selection at that moment, and nothing is sent anywhere except to your own Dexi account.

On Chrome?

The Save to Dexi Chrome extension does the same job with a keyboard shortcut and a right-click menu. On iPhone, the iOS share-sheet shortcutsaves pages from Safari or any app; it's powered by a personal API token from Settings → API tokens. See all the ways to save.
